The Uttarakhand Gaura Shakti App, launched on 13 November 2022 by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, is a dedicated women safety app in Uttarakhand. Integrated with the Uttarakhand Police App, this initiative focuses on empowering and protecting working women across the state—whether in the government or private sector. Through the Gaura Shakti women empowerment feature, users can register for safety support, use the SOS emergency button, file online complaints, and connect directly with women police officers like female sub-inspectors. The app also provides legal rights information, important helpline numbers, and workplace safety assistance, making it a comprehensive tool for women’s security in Uttarakhand. By introducing this app, the Uttarakhand government under CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a strong step towards digital women empowerment, ensuring safer workplaces, quicker police response, and greater confidence for women in public spaces.
